nRF52840 and TC2050-IDC cable how to

Hello,

I just received my newly developed nRF52840 board and I choose a TC2050 connector to flash firmware from TagLink because it has a small footprint.

I own two nRF52840 DK boards and I was able to turn one into a programmer and the other one into a target and I used the 10 pin DebugIn (Source) and DebugOut (Target) to test my application, however, when I try to use the 10 pin TC2050, the target is not detected and I am wondering why.

I analyzed the PCA10056 schematic and PCB and discovered that the TC2050 is for programming the interface MCU. Is that the case?

In contrast, the dongle seems to be programmable by using the J2 connector https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/pdf/nRF52840_Dongle_User_Guide_v1.0.pdf
