NRF52 no emulator connected

I've been through the tutorial of connecting the NRD52 board to my PC, but my PC isnt recognizing it at all. No pop up for any usb devices. I've tried different cables and about 7 different computers, some linux, some windows 10. The only step I skipped was connecting the NFC antenna before starting it up. The NFC antenna wouldn't be the thing causing my problem though right? Must be something else? I have downloaded all of the necessary software, but I don't think that should have anything to with it simply not being detected via usb from 7 different machines.

does any of the LEDs on the DK glow when you connect the DK to the computer?

Hi, I just answered a similar case here. In addition to what @Daniel Wang said:

• Were you doing anything unusual at the time?
• Could it be that you drag-and-dropped a .hex file onto the kit while it was in bootloader mode?
• Do you have a lot of jumper wires floating around or other metal parts that might have shorted some of the circuits on the kit?

Nope. ITs brand new. Had this problem straight out of the box. Can't drag and drop anything to board, as it cannot be detected by a computer. All of LEDs work.

Is this a nRF52 DK or one of the new nRF52840 Preview DKs?

One more question: does the kit show up in device manager under "Ports (COM &LPT)" or "Universal Serial Bus controllers"? You might need to plug the kit out and back in again to see if anything changes and it might not show up with the name you expect.
