Problems with connecting homepod mini and echo dot3 using matter over wifi

Hi, I'm having some problems. I modified the light_bulb routine in matter to fit my own development board (using n5340 plus n7002). I then connected the homepod mini and echo dot3 with my own development board, and when I connected the echo dot3, I was able to successfully connect and switch the lights on and off through Amazon Alexa the first time I connected my development board. However, after I successfully connected the echo dot3 for the first time, I could not connect the Echo DOT3 to the development board again after I powered it off (the development board kept the power supply). If, after the first successful connection, the development board is powered off and then powered on (echo dot3 remains powered), the connection will be successful. That's not the case with the homepod mini. What is the problem, please? Need your answer, thank you!

  • Hi,Marte

Thank you for your answer.Below is my version of Apple HomePod and echo dot3. In both cases, the HomePod can be reconnected to the development board. The Echo dot3 case is as described above.Looking forward to your reply.

  • Hi,

I read your original text as after power cycling the DK it can reconnect to the Amazon Echo but not the Apple HomePod mini, and after power cycling the Echo the DK cannot reconnect. If I understand you correctly now, the issue is only with power cycling the Echo?

Please provide some logs from the DK.

Is the device added to both the Apple HomePod mini and Amazon Echo at the same time? If so, try testing with it connected to only on at a time and power cycling, to ensure that there is no issues due to ecosystem coexistence.

How long did you wait for reconnection?

    Best regards,
    Marte
