MQTT-SN communication problem using

I am trying to use the MQTT-SN Publisher-subscriber example.

Using RP4 as OTBR with Dongle. DK board flashed with the program.

Paho-MQTT-sn and RSMB were installed in RP4 along with mosquitto broker. All are configured and the whole set-up worked for a few hours. Now I am not able to connect to  Gateway.

I have tried connecting MQTT-SN Tools at one end and MQTT-Explorer at the other end and they are perfectly working. But when I press Key-2 from the DK board, it gets stuck at Gateway connection failure. By the way, one of my colleagues has also done a similar setup, we have matched all our config files and his setup is working perfectly.

Enclosed are my Gateway and RSMB config files and some of the command line outputs confirming set-up.

Is this some version issue? Please help resolve the issue so that I can proceed further.

  • Hi,

We're currently in the main summer vacation period here in Norway so we're unfortunately experiencing slower response time than usual.

Based on your description it seems like there are either still something that is not matched in between your and your colleagues setup so I would recommend you retrace those steps one more time. Including completely wiping all devices, following the same guides and using the same firmware

In addition, if the issue persists, I would recommend that you reach out to the Zephyr forums on Discord (under technical resources at https://zephyrproject.org/) and raise a similar issue regarding the zephyr sample you mention.

    Kind regards,
    Andreas

  • Thanks for your response.

We did a complete re-installation. followed every possible step with care.

    Unfortunately, it's still not working.

Can some one share your specific config files and instructions to modify those? I believe this should help us.

    Thanks

  • Hi Andreas,

I was referring to my earlier query where our MQTTSN and RSMB combination is not working consistently. It's working on one set-up but not on the other (worked for some time). So, reliability becomes challenging and we are not sure where to look for any solution.

If some one is already using it and can share their config files for MQTTSN and RSMB, we will revalidate our set-up and see if that can work consistently.

    Regards

    Arun
