J-link - Unknown device after updating nRF Connect plugin for VSCode

Hi all,

On Monday I started my VSCode workspace as usual (Running on a WSL2 instance), and a popup notifying that the new version for nRF Connect plugin was installed. Everything looked good (building/and flashing), but when iWanted to start an RTT session for my nRF5340 board, the following message appeared:

After clicking OK, a prompt for selecting the device shows up. I can search for nrf5340 device in there:

Selecting nRF5340_xxAA_APP made the RTT session available, so I could see log messages and use the shell as usual.

Fortunately this workaround exists, but is a little bit annoying to search for the device every time I want to connect (which is very frequent).

I tried updating the J-link tools from v7.80c (like the images show) to latest v7.88k. Even I updated my J-Link EDU mini firmware, but without success.

Is there anything else I can try on my end?

Hi Leandro,

Thank you for reporting this. We are working on this, but since it's the vacation period here and were are understaffed at the moment, we cannot promise a quick fix at the moment.

No problem at all, fortunately we can still use RTT (with a few extra steps though), so it's not urgent. Happy holidays for you!

I want to know if are there any news regarding this issue, since rolling back to an older VSCode version is not desirable on our team.
