Zigbee : How to receive data from an IAS ZONE sensor with 52840DK board

I Have an IAS ZONE sensor: Door/Window Sensor DWZB1-CE.

Basically, i want to receive events from this sensor which indicate whether the door is closed or open. On my 52840DK board i have flashed network_coordinator sample which I added the following :

When i start my board and reset my sensor I have the following logs:

So commisionning works fine. However when i try to close, open door sensor, nothing happen. I try to use sniffer, but the result is the same. I tried using zdo match_desc as suggested here but there only the following logs:

How should i modify my code in order to have open/close door event ? Is there any tutorial up to date to implement ias zone sensor ?

Hi,

Can you upload a sniffer log of this as a pcap file?
Make sure to start the sniffer before the coordinator starts the network so the sniffer has the network key, or share the network key here so I can decrypt the packets.

Hello Marte,

You will find in attachment the sniffer log. I started to sniff just before i flash my nrf-dk board with my network coordinator sample, so it should be early enough to gather all information i guess.

Also how do you decrypt packets with network key ? Is there any documentation about it ?

Thank you for your reply, indeed  I made a mistake. You will find the correct pcap file this one with a success status for both  zdo match_desc and zdo simple_desc_req.
On the Terminal there were an output of these two commands. For instance:

From now on how can we "read" events? For instance "open" or "close" status from the sensor ? The binding is successful but I can not subscribe.

Hi Amin,

The IAS Zone sensor responds that the data type is invalid in the configure reporting response:

In the configure reporting command, the data type is 0x00 (no data).

The ZoneState attribute is an enum8, which has data type ID 0x30.

Please note that the data type field of the subscribe shell command is decimal, and not hex, so you need to use 48 as ID:

zcl subscribe on h:addr d:ep 0x0500 0x0104 0 48 [d:min interval (s)] [d:max interval (s)]

I managed to subscribe successfully for zonestate and zone status. Either way there is no frame when I close or open the IAS sensor. What am I missing ?

Hi Amin,

I am not able to see any issues from the sniffer log.

Are you able to check if the ZoneState attribute is updated on the sensor? Do you see any changes if you read the attribute when the sensor is in opened and closed states? You can send a read request with zcl attr read:

zcl attr read h:dst_addr d:ep h:cluster [-c] h:profile h:attr_id
