step increase in supply voltage may result in a system reset.

Hi Team

There is below statement in the spec of nRF52832. Customer want to know if there is only a spike in their VDD,Is there still a risk of this problem occurring?

The amplitude of spike is over 300mV, but the width is very narrow (<2ms).

  • Hi Victor

Since this note is only specific to the Power On Reset, this will only be relevant during power-on. So if the voltage drops or spikes by more than 300mV within operational limits this should not be a concern. If the spike you're customer is talking about brings the device outside of operating voltage or if it occurs during power-on reset it may indeed trigger a reset. This can also happen with large enough spikes/drops within operating voltages.
