Using the 8 bit bi-directional port

Hello Folks!

From the Power Profiler Kit II v1.0.1 documentation, the block diagram shows the logic port as bi-directional.

There is no further mention (that I can find) of using this port as an output.

Has anyone been able to achieve this ?

Thanks

Jonnie

  • Another case regarding the PPK 2 identified the breathing LED as a source of SAADC measurement noise. Hakon kindly arranged to do an update "we will release a new version for existing hardware. I do not have the overall details on how configurable this will be, but it is likely going to be a solid state when sampling (ie. no PWM), and/or possibly an update to the GUI to turn the LED feature on/off completely". This would allow the use of up to 3 output pins to control the device-under-test (DUT) by simply hijacking the LED pins which is a better solution for us than having another device to qualify. (The other io input pins would be preferred, but there are buffers in the way of those.)

    Thanks hakon

Edit: Better still, allow us to modify the nRF52840 project on the PPK 2 so we can add some more commands.
