update over LTE-M

Hello all,

I have a case when I want to use NRF 52833 with the Quectel BG95/96. But one of the projects requirements is to do an update over the air for the NRF application that I need to develop.

Is there any easy way to do that? If so, please let me know what the steps are. App will be written in Zephyr RTOS.

Hello,

I haven't tried integrating the BG95/96 module, so I am not completely sure how this works, but there are some old threads explaining how to integrate the same module. I also recommend you use the Quectel forum if you are struggling to interface with the same module.

 

And for the FOTA update, I think you can refer to this sample. Are you looking for anything specific? Please let me know, and I will share the references accordingly.

Thank you for the replay.

When it comes to the OTA, I will have modem and the nrf SoC (52833 or 52840). I will need to update my application and the modem firmware probably.

I would love to know how I can update my application over the air – it will be device that can be repaired manualy but it Is unwanted thing to do .

I will write the app in Zephyr.
