nRF Connect for Desktop installation fails with specified module not found

Hi there,

We are trying to install the latest version of nRF connect for Desktop on a clean Windows 10 Virtual Machine. Installation succeeds without any error messages. The installation of any apps (e.g. Toolchain manager) is also successful without any error messages. However, when opening Toolchain manager, we get the following error message:

The firewall is disabled when installing.

Can you please advise what the problem here might be asap?

Kind regards,

Frikkie

  • Hello again, Frikkie

I am glad to read that this resolved your issue! :)
Thank you for updating us on this as well. The developers already have a fix in the pipeline for this issue.

Regarding the 'Open VSC' button in Toolchain Manager, using this button to open VSC will perform a check to make sure that all the nRF Connect VSC extensions have their dependencies installed prior to launching VSC - the 'install missing dependencies' prompt should only appear the first time, and after that the button should just launch VSC directly.

    Best regards,
    Karl
