VScode error in using sample application

"Create a new application" -> "Copy a Sample" -> "BLE Central UART"

I get this error:

Cannot copy 'c:\NordicSDKfiles\v2.4.1\nrf\samples\bluetooth\central_uart' to a subdirectory of itself, 'c:\NordicSDKfiles\v2.4.1\nrf\samples\bluetooth\central_uart\central_uart'.

Ok, o now understand that the IDE is asking for a “new location” in the same drop-down box the originally selects the sample to be used.  This is confusing. 

Now that I can select a sample, build and program it, I need to know how to interface to the “mesh chat”. 

What application is used to define the mesh nodes and what application is used in iOS to be a node?
