I have the latest VS code and extension versions. But the extension does not display anything. Seems to be stuck.

Can you please provide the output from running nRF Connect: Generate Support information? Copy and paste into this ticket.
What happens if you close and restart VS code? Or restart the computer?

When I press "Generate Support information", nothings happens. The extension is always stuck as shown in the picture.
I am using Windows operating system and I have tried,
- restarting VS code
- restarting Computer
- re-installing VS code several times
- following instructions given in this thread
I ran out of options to fix this

Thank you for providing this screenshot. I have forwarded to our SW developer team. They ask if you can confirm that the c++ runtime is installed please. You can find it in e.g. "Add and remove programs" in Windows

Just to debug the issue at hand, could you please try installing the SDK using nrfutil toolchain manager to see if this fails as well? Or even try it with the Toolchain Manager found in our nRF Connect for Desktop application.
Have not asked this before, but have been able to use the VS code extension before?

Until now, I did manual installation with west and updated every time with GIT and it worked with the extension when I SET `ZEPHYR_BASE` environment variable.
I used nRF Connect desktop application now and the extension worked. I do not understand how but I am happy that it works.
