Can't have a working COM port when using CDC ACM setup in the dongle firmware with Windows 11

Hello

We developped a firmware on the nrf52840 dongle able to communicate with a Windows PC through the USB.

On Windows 10, we can communicate with a serial COM port. The dongle is listed as a COM Port (twice but both work).

On Windows 11, the dongle is badly listed as USB device and to get a COM port we need to create a legacy hardware COM Port. Once this is done, we see the COM Ports but no way to communicate, at any speed.

I know it's more a Windows issue than a Nordic one, but if any of you encountered this kind of thing, please let me know how you solved it.

We tried to reconfigure drivers and all, no more success.

Please help Slight smile

Thanks,

  • Hi.

    Thanks for answering so quickly.

I tried to update the Segger Jlink Drivers (with the Legacy support) as explained in the other post. No more success.

When I go to Device Manager, it's always using usbser driver on Windows :

To be honest, I don't see any path to explore to get this working. The customer demands using Windows 11 and we are now stuck.

What could help you all understand better the case ?

    Thanks,

    ----
