Modem receiver/transmitter current in Power Profiler with PPK2

I am trying to understand the output of the Power Profiler App used with PPK2 and nrf9160dk.

Below is a screenshot of periodic modem power consumption with my application itself not doing anything.

Are the bigger spikes (~80mA) the transmitter being turned on and the smaller ones (~50mA) the receiver?

Do I see in below image the transmitter being turned on twice and the receiver three or five times? In other words, if I am correct that I do see transmitter activity here, is the current spike to the very left of my image transmitter only or both transmitter and receiver?

What are the standard intervalls between receiver/transmitter activations?

This seems to be transmitter every 1.2 seconds and receiver every 330ms or 250ms.

What are the exact intervalls?

May I know more about your application? Is it based on existing sample? because the configuration and your application also matters on the power consumption pattern.

For the connection configuration, you can refer to (+) Guidelines (LTE) - opp - Online Power Profiler - Nordic DevZone and play with (+) Online Power Profiler for LTE - opp - Online Power Profiler - Nordic DevZone. Pay attention to PSM, EDRX and RAI configurations.

For the real power measurment, you can start with Cellular: UDP to verify how the coingurations effect connection/power consumption pattern. Power saving techniques - Nordic Developer Academy have more clear picture about it.
