Lesson 8 Exercise 1 - build error on 7002DK

Hi

I'm encountering an error while building Lesson 8, Exercise 1, Step 3 using the nrf7002dk/nrf5340/cpuapp target board. Below is the error message I received:

The same code compiles and runs successfully when using the nrf5340dk/nrf5340/cpuapp board, as demonstrated in the example below:

Could someone please explain what might be causing this error on the nrf7002dk board and suggest how to fix it?

I looked up your build log and found an undefined reference error,so I assume it is in config files, well may be it is better to post the build log here I guess.

update:Found reference discussion for that issue here

I verified the DTS file, and the device is set to status = "okay" in the DTS file. The above reference didn't work for me.

A similar error occurs when building other examples. For instance, the figure below shows the error for Lesson 9, Exercise 5. The build works when target board is nrf5340dk. 

Can i do something in the overlay file fix this ?

Hello,

Try including the configurations below inside sysbuild/mcuboot.conf and see if this resolves your issue. This ensures that the SPI NOR driver is disabled.

CONFIG_SPI=n
CONFIG_SPI_NOR=n
