Power Profiler kit ii wrong voltage supplied

Power profiler kit ii not supplying power and reading current correctly.
A month ago, my power profiler kit ii was working fine.

The actual voltage supplied to the test device is approximately 0.5v less than the voltage set in "source" mode and supply voltage during "meter" mode.
It is also unable to supply sufficient current 100mA

This was tested in both modes and with different types of power input during "meter" mode (voltage supplier, battery).
This was also tested with different test devices and a resistor as load.

  • Hi.

Do you have any measurements showing the situation before and after it stopped working as expected?

Has anything happened in the meantime that could make this change happen?

    Best regards,
    Mathias

  • Hi,

I don't have any voltage measurements from before.
Now, when set Source mode 3000mV, the actual voltage measured was 2.422V

This device does not exceed around 15mA consumption in normal state.

The ppk2 is unable to supply this motor operation which demand 200mA (old measurement)

Everything is the same, except the power profiler was updated to v4.2.2.
However I also tested an v4.2.1 and there is no changes.

    Understood.

This was measured with a voltmeter or similar?

So, where it previously was able to deliver up to 200 mA, it is now only able to deliver 15 mA?

    What revision is the PPK2?

  • This was measured with a voltmeter or similar?

Yes, with a multimeter. The device internal measurement (a little less accurate) also shows 2.4V

So, where it previously was able to deliver up to 200 mA, it is now only able to deliver 15 mA?

    Yes.

    What revision is the PPK2?

    1.1.1
    2024.35
