Footprint Problem with SW8 (MK-22D14-G2) on nRF7002 DK Board

Hello,

I'm sure you know this already, but there seems to be a problem with the subject footprint. I guess I'm posting this to confirm that it in fact does have a bug in that the row spacing between pads is about 1mm to large. Here's the Altium 3D view and the datasheet for the switch corroborates this. Can you please confirm that this is a problem? When I look at the DK it looks like the legs on the part have been manually stretched out to be able to reach the pads. I can't get a clear zoomed picture with my phone.

Thanks,

Chris

  • Hi Chris,

Looks like there's a confusion in the part names. Could you confirm whether you have a switch with the part number MKH-22D14-G2 or MK-22D14-G2 ?

MKH has center to center pad distance is 5.5 mm. Versus MK footprint (which we use), where center to center pad distance is 7 mm (5.5 mm inner, and 8.5 mm outer dimensions).

    Regards,

    Priyanka
