Zigbee support on nrf connect SDK version 3.1.1

I am using nrf connect SDK toolchain version 3.1.1 and nrf connect sdk version 3.1.1 ,

By default I don't have zigbee related samples/examples and also zboss stack library as per the new sources is not available , when I saw some info on nordic dev academy it was said that we need to use nrf connect sdk add on R23(Updated Zigbee Zbosss library) but when downloading it has a tag line saying compatible with nrf connect sdk version 2.9.2 

Is it something like it will be compatible  only on nrf connect sdk version 2.9.2 or is it like it is compatible from nrf connect sdk version 2.9.2 onwards ?


If It is only compatible on nrf connect sdk 2.9.2 can you guide me through on how exactly we need to develop zigbee applications if we want to make use of nrf connect sdk version 3.1.1

Hi Ajay,

The Zigbee R-23 add-on is made for nRF Connect v2.9.2, so it is recommended to use with that version. It might work with the later versions, but there could be incompatibilities that can cause issues.. So it advised to stay with v2.9.2 if you want to use the Zigbee add-on. If you need to know when support will be added to the newer versions, please do check with your Regional Sales Manager, since, all information on timelines and roadmaps need to go through the Sales Team.. Now nrf connect sdk version 2.9.2 , is it the stable version which can be used for developing any application which includes zigbee , compared to nrf connect sdk version 3.1.1 

As far as I know 2.9 version of nrf connect sdk had an issue in zboss stack with respect heavy traffic environment , I hope that issue is addressed in nrf connect sdk version 2.9.2
