TX Power issues

Hello,
I am using WM02F WiFi mdule with nRF7002 SoC and i am having some issues with the TX power measurement of the WM02F WiFi module while operating it in 2.4GHz.
I have tested these modules (ordered from Fanstel and Jetreq Components) on the same hardware and experiencing the different TX power in 2.4GHz band in all channels (1-14).
So, I was just wondering if there are any settings I have to change in the firmware, so both modules (from fanstel and Jetreq) have the same Tx power performance. the only difference on these modules i can see is 40MHz crystal but with difference order info.
Thankful for your guidance!

  • Hello,

As mentioned in my previous reply, have you had the chance to verify the output power using conducted/cabled measurements? Also, is it possible for you to share a screenshot or image of your setup as well? Can you also provide some more details about the two modules that you mentioned? Have you performed measurements with both before and is one of them made by you?

    Best Regards,

  • Hello Samruddhi,

No! i have done only the radiated emission measurements with 1m of distance between radio module WM02F and the e-field probe, the e-filed probe was connected to the Network analyzer. The WM02F has an integrated antenna.

I only swapped the radio module (sourced from different suppliers) on the same hardware (changed the WM02F WiFi module on same PCB) and non of theme are made by me. My test setup was as below,
