Application is not running in SDK V8 for mesh network

Hi all,

1. I am developing a mesh network and i am using pca10001 EK V2.2.0 for nrf51822. Some one suggested this link: github.com/.../sdk-8-support I did what they suggested, first i used soft device s110 v8 and ble_Gateway application, i can able to program without any errors. But application is not at all running, i make sure in debug mode.

Can any one please tell me why it is like this?

2. Then i tried with soft device s130 and unable to load application hex file, it showing erase failed. So i changed rom to: start=0x14000 size: 0x2B000 and RAM : start=0x20005000 size=0x5000, then also it is giving same error.

Can any one please tell me why it is like this?

Hi, Your application should start at the end of the Softdevice you're running with.

With S110v8, your application should start at 0x18000 in ROM (size=0x28000), and 0x20002000 in RAM (size=0x6000).

With S130, your application should start at 0x20000 in ROM (size=0x20000), and 0x20002800 in RAM (size=0x5800).

Try erasing the entire chip, program whichever softdevice you prefer (I recommend S110, as this is the main target for the framework), set the correct start-addresses and sizes in Keil. Compile and flash. You should see your device entering the main-function.

I did what you suggested, but it is not working. I tried with s110v8. Application is not even entering into main.

Could you provide the marking of the nRF51822 chip on your pca10001? I suspect that its a IC Revision 2 chip and it is therefore not compatible with the S110 v8.0.0 SoftDevice.

Yes, QFAA G0 is IC revision 2 and is not compatible with S110 v8.0.0 or S130 v1.0, please see this page on our Infocenter.

pca10028 v1.1.0 will it work for this sdk v8 and SD s110v8?

I tried with SDk7 and SD s110v7 ble_gateway app running but it is not advertising. could you please tell me why is like this?
