External programming Using nRF52-DK

I have a nRF52-DK and I am trying to programme an external designed by myself but this one contains the nRF51422 chip. I am using nRFGO Studio to upload the .HEX file.

Do you know if it is possible even with different chips?

I am following these connections between my board and nRF52-DK.

My Board(nRF51422) -> nRF52-DK

SWDIO -> SH_SWDIO (pin #4) on P20

SWDCLK -> SH_SWDCLK (pin #5) on P20

VDD -> SH_VTG (pin #3) on P20 and VDD (pin #1)

GND -> SH_GND_DETECT (pin #8) on P20 and GND

The schematic provide by Remi without GND DETECT work fine,Thanks. 

I am using a switch to power VTG from Vdd.  When VTG is disconnect, I can program the nrf52 main board. When VTG is connect, I can program the external board.  This is very useful when programming a transmitter / receiver application.

I tried the above connections with nrf52833DK and custom nrf52820 board. But I get the following error.

Did you solve it? I think I'm having the same problems?

I get that error sometimes when I forget to reconnecto the DK to my custom board correctly (or forget to connect it at all!)

It also pops up sometimes seemingly randomly.  I can usually get it to go away by disconnecting the DK from my PC, restarting VSC, then reconnecting the DK to my PC.

If you are getting it all the time, then I suspect the connections from the DK to your custom board aren't correct.
