The S120 is a pure Central softdevice, and hence it can connect only to other Peripheral devices. Does it means that s120 cannot be used as a peripherial device?

Yes, you are correct
The S120 cannot be used as a peripheral device.
Is it possible to use the S110 and the S120 at the same time on one device?
No, that is not possible, as both softdevices have to start at the same position.
This is not allowed by the BLE 4.0 spec. BLE4.1 however does allow it and I am really hoping that a BLE4.1 S120 (promised for 2014Q1: https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/News/News-releases/Product-Related-News/Nordic-Semiconductor-announces-Bluetooth-Smart-solution-for-Rezence-Wireless-Charging-and-the-S120-8-link-central-role-Bluetooth-low-energy-SoftDevice-for-the-nRF51822 ) will support this.....
