Hi I am checking out NRF51822, NRF24LU and NRF24LE1.
Below are my design requirements:
- Smaller the size, the better. 7x7mm is OK. prefer smaller.
- Lower power.. I will be running on 2 hearing aid batteries (size 13). Need to last 2years.
- Transmitter will only use I2C interface.
- Receiver will only use Serial interface.
- Not much of processing power needed. On receiver it may be useful. But not needed.
- the chip will wake up 10times a day. for 10sec.. and go to sleep.
- Price is very important.
I see following prices
NRF51 is $2 in bulk. $5 each.
NRF24LE1 is $2.5 in bulk and $6each. (Not sure why it is more expensive)
NRF24LU1 is $3 in bulk and $6each.
Sizes:
NRF51 WL-CSP is only 4x4mm
Thanks Ash
