difference between tx carrier modulated and not

I need to certificate the nrf52 to Fcc. I understood that the radio test is very useful. I try to clarify what the code permit to do, because i want to adapt it for the test. In particular, i don't understood the difference between the

• Start TX Carrier and Start Modulated TX carrier.

Instead of The tx sweep permit to change the channel of transmission after a time that we can insert with command d ( Enter time on each channel (1 ms - 99 ms)). The same is for the RX channel, correct?

A last question is about the power. How Can i set the transmission power to max power?

Thank you for the answer. I'm a little confused, searching on the forum i find that DTM example can be used for the FCC test. What is the differents between DTM and radio_test? Thanks, Anna

In the post you refer to, Ketil does recommend to use the radio_test example for FCC/ETSI. For Bluetooth testing, he recommends to use the DTM example:

For FCC/ETSI testing, most will use the "radio test example" from the SDK and setup the radio to transmit a modulated packet.. .... When Bluetooth testing is required, DTM is the preferred way.
