Instead of ble is it possible to use 802.15.4 in the physical layer ,if yes which radio module i should use with the raspberry pi to act as a border router?

Yes, the nRF52840 supports 802.15.4.

but the raspberry pi does not have 802.15.4 communication ?and can i use the softdevice used for the iot sdk or must i use s140 to support 6lowpan
