Keil - nRF_DeviceFamilyPack:8.12.0 Pack not found

Hi, I use Keil 5 and SDK 13.0.0 in Windows 7 64bit desktop.

I wished to test the SDK 13's BLE UART example.

However, even though I clicked "Check for Updates", the installation for device pack 8.12 does not start.

The message says that Cannot execute external request (Install Pack, NordicSemiconductor:nRF_DeviceFamilyPack:8.12.0 Pack not found

Neither the Nordic's developer webpage seems to have the device pack 8.12.

Will the device pack 8.12 be uploaded?

I have exactly the same version of MDK and encountered the same problem. I typed it in Google and found your post!

I've had exactly the same problem today and then saw that there appears to be a special free Nordic version of the ARM MDK which includes the 8.12 family pack and it's found in the SDK13 root folder after unzipping it.

The problem I have right now is that I have some other evaluation ARM tools and also some tools licenced for one cpu manufacturer, and when I try to install the ARM MDK for Nordic, it won't install because it sees the other installations.

Hopefully the Nordic people tell us how to install with other versions present. I don't plan to remove the MDK for the siLabs parts so I can use the version made for Nordic.

You mean you have installed nRF5x_MDK_8_12_0_Keil4_NordicLicense after unzipping SDK 13?

After the installation, was your problem has been solved?

Hi MANGO, I tried to explain in my previous response that I attempted to install that version but as I already have some free versions of the ARM SDK which I use for some other CPU's, this version won't install, it tells me to UN-install the other versions, and I still need them. So I am hoping that Nordic will release a version that does not check for other installed versions, such as the ARM MDK that I use for the Silabs and Nuvoton chips which I work with.

The MDK has been uploaded, but looks like Keil has not indexed it yet. You can run the installer included in the SDK if you are using Keil4, or download the packs version of the MDK manually if using Keil5.
