  • The error indicates that the application was not able to load one of the native modules. There could be multiple reasons for this.

First, verify that the file (pc-ble-driver-js-sd_api_v2.node) actually exists in the given directory. If the file exists, then it may not be able to load one or more required DLLs. In particular, you should check that Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) is installed. This is bundled with the nRF Connect installer, but perhaps it did not install correctly, or it was removed some time after installation. Go to "Add or remove programs" in Windows, and check that it is listed there. In my case, the exact version is 14.0.23026.

If the file is there, and Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) is installed, then you could debug this further with Process Monitor tool (technet.microsoft.com/.../bb896645). Apply filter ProcessName = nRF Connect.exe, start an app from nRF Connect, and watch what happens when it tries to read pc-ble-driver-js-sd_api_v2.node. If it is unable to find a DLL, it will show up with result NAME NOT FOUND.
