Master Control Panel does not detect nrf dongle

Hi guys, I have troubles with MCP 3.10.0.14 but the device (PCA10031) cannot be detected in my laptop (Win 7 enterprise). I actually checked it on other PCs and everything is fine there. The right program has been already flashed and no hardware problem on the dongle. I also used some other dongles and have the same problem. I am sure there is something wrong in my laptop but not sure what is!

Please, find the log file at log.txt.

  • Hi Joakim, Yes, I can find it in the Windows Device Manager.

MCP actually can find the device and program it but cannot run it. image description

FYI, if I click on "Advanced..." button, if always gives me a message and does not let me change the parameters there image description

Also, I had a discovery. Every time I program the device it gives me a message as below image description.

if I press on 'Yes', the device does not work. if I press on 'No' I can reset successfully and start discovery! do you have any explanation?

  • If I understand you correctly, the dongle works and you are able to perform the discovery if you press "No" on the J-link message?
I haven't seen that message before, and it's peculiar that it works on the other computers. Are you using the same version of MCP and the J-link driver? Also, Master Control Panel (MCP) is deprecated, and I would recommend you to try nRF Connect for windows.
    Best regards.
