Nordic BT 5 modules by third parties

Hi, I have a development board nRF52832 and we are looking for 3rd party modules built on the same. I want some configuration changes on the modules. So, please someone help me in finding this out. Is all the 3rd party modules can programmed using development board? If yes, I can take the boards from online shopping sites and go ahead else what am I suppose to do -contact the distributor?

Thanks

  • Hi,

You can find a list of 3rd Party modules here: 3rd Party Bluetooth low energy Modules.

Whether you can program them with a development board like the nRF5 DK kits depends on whether the module have a connector or any sort of exposed programming pins. Some of the modules are very tiny and would require you to solder on some wires to the programming pins and hook them up to your kit. If you have access to ground, Vcc, SWD clock, and SWD data pins then you can program them with your kit. Anyway, you should always read the datasheet of the module before you buy. Whatever you need to know should be in there.
