nrf52832 pcb design issue with GND

Hi,

Im currently designing a custom pcb using nrf52 reference design available here. In my design, I have to connect the ground of two analog signals to VSS of nrf52832. It's clear from the reference design that the VSS is connected to ground. So connecting the analog signals' ground to it makes sense, meaning that both the grounds are connected to the same ground(VSS). However, while I was working with the nrf52 development board, when I try to connect two analog pins to the same ground, the device doesn't work. How do I make sure that my custom pcb will work fine?

  • To make sure the custom PCB works fine you need to work out why you think the 'device doesn't work' when you have two analog pins connected to the same ground as that appears to be your actual problem here and nothing to do with PCB design, custom or not.

But you don't give any details about that at all so it's impossible to guess what you even mean by it. That's the bit you need to fix however as, yes, you are going to have all grounds connected on your final board just as on the development board.
