WT51822-S2 programming on LPCXpresso

Hi to everyone,

sorry if this question will result stupid, but I'm really new on programming Nordic microcontrollers.

I'm trying to develop a simple ble application for the WT51822-S2; the IDE I am using il LPCXpresso on a Linux OS.

I tried using and importing the SKD version 12.3, after following various guides found online, into the project.

Until now I was not able to compile the whole code, is there a simple guide on how to configure the SDK?

Also an example project would be useful.

Try this blog about nRF51 & nRF52 development with Eclipse.  LPCXpresso is Eclipse based using native Eclipse project. I think the blog may help to set it up.

Hi Tommy,

I would also like you to check out this Thread which provides useful links to get you started.

I would highly recommend you to get a nRF51/nRF52 DK to start developing on since it already has an on-board debugger which makes getting started so much easier.

You could also check out using Segger Embedded Studio  since we provide a free licence and it has also cross-platform support.

I tried to follow the instructions in that blog, but the result was not so good.

It seems that I am missing some link to the SKD, but I couldn't understand which one; I may have to start from scratch.

I will keep you updated if I have more luck next time.

thank you very much for the link, I will check out everything in the Thread.

I'm not very happy with changing programming environment as I currently use LPCXpresso in other projects, but if everything else fails I will give it a chance.

The library uses SDK14 for nRF52 and SDK12 for nRF51.  The SDK should be put in 'external' folder as shown in the folder tree structure.  In fact you can just use the standard Eclipse to develop for both LPC and nRF as shown on the blog site.
