Status of Android and IOS support of bluetooth 5.0 long range ?

Hi,

What is the the status of android and IOS support of bluetooth 5.0 long range ?

It would be great if you can give us a list of device that support long range (of course not exhaustive list)

I know that It can be checked by the API isLeCodedPhySupported() but we cannot afford buying all flag ship phone and discover they do not support long range

Yes, I have the same thoughts. But I don't have possibility to check this in short time

No problem, that's already important to know that it may work. Hope that people from Nordic will give it a try as It would be good for them to show long range with a real phone and their device also for checking compatibility with other stacks

Thanks for the update to the thread! Yes & the long range should also be available on the new Huawei phone I believe...We will try to get a hold of a smartphone that supports long range & hopefully write a short blog post seeing how it went. I will also try to insert the link on this thread.
