nRF Mesh android app

Just starting development with nRF52840-Preview-DK using Bluetooth Mesh.

I've loaded compiled, Light switch server example code for nRF5_SDK_for_Mesh_v2.0.1 along with nRF5_SDK_15.0.0 onto the board.

It advertises and is visible as a Mesh Beacon within nRF Connect, but it is not visible for provisioning when I use nRF Mesh Android app (version 0.2) which I downloaded today from Play Store ( I am running Android 5.1.1).

A competitors App (ST Micro) is able to see it, but is then unable to complete provisioning of it.

The board software otherwise appears to behave itself, being able to switch an LED on and off with one and reset the Node with another.

Any pointers?

A more recent post here has the answer.

Apparently to use the android app with the light_switch example you must program your boards with the client_proxy and server_proxy code otherwise the phone app. is not able to communicate with them.

I'm still unsure of why a non-Nordic app was able to see the base example client and server units though.
