Uart and NRF_Logging are printing with noise

I am using Hackable kit which is a custom nrf52832 board with Bumpy a low cost Black Magic Probe alternative to program since i don't have a J-Link device. I have tried many examples but i cannot get the UART or NRF_Logs to print correctly in the Putty Console. It always prints gibberish (noisy). For this example i ran the example/peripherals/uart from the SDK 15 example with some following simple modifications

As you can see i just print the word "Exit" with 500ms delay through UART. What i get in Putty after running this code is

i have also tries with different flow control options. But always the gibberish noise is present. 

Can someone tell me what's wrong or where is the problem?

Hi Krishna,

Could you try with a different Serial Terminal. Like Termite?

Then use the unmodified UART example, but define that you are using "BOARD_CUSTOM" and include the "custom_board.h" file with the correct defines for your board.

 Could you also post a picture on how you have connected the board to your pc?

Also I assume that you have updated the bumpy?

Sorry for the delayed response. As you suggested i tried Termite. But this time around i couldn't see any logs even the noise in Termite. I ran the UART Example without my modification. My Hackabe board has the same footprint as pca10040 so there is no need of a custom_board.h file. I have also updated the bumpy beforehand.

Hi Krishna,

Do you twist the UART Rx and Tx cables? 

if not, this can cause a lot of noise and could also be the reason why you are seeing this "gibberish" noise.

Thanks Martin for your time. But i found out the problem it was a hardware PIN failure. Seems like a manufacturing defect. I reconfigured the UART Tx and Rx ports to other working pins and now i get the clean logs. thanks.
