Good day

I can't see my beacon on my phone after downloading the app. The beacon is on but still can't be recognised on the phone.

what might be the problem?

  • I assume you beacon kit is flashing a purple light every 5th second?

Have you enabled "Location services" on the iOS device, especially for the nRFbeacon app. Please go to Privacy settings - location services to enable this.

Do you get the nRFBeacon up on main part of the beacon app? Are you able to read the UUID for beacon?

  • Hello, I have the same issue like you.

I use iPhone 5S (iOS 8.1.2). The version of the app is ver 1.2. As you mentioned I pressed SW2 and

at the "Scan" screen, "Beacon Config" appears.

After selecting the beacon, the UUID, Major, Minor and RSSI fields were filled automatically.

Also the Bluetooth Mark next to the phone's battery level icon flashes

(which shows that it is connected.)

However, that doesn't last long. After pressing "Done",

the Bluetooth mark shows that it is disconnected.

Eventually, the iOS app shows this log : "Beacon Not Found".

The kit is well discovered when I test with Nexus 5 and Galaxy Note 3.

What do I have to do?

I confirmed the purple light blinking and iPhone's Privacy settings - location services to enable.
