Can not connect Android 8 mobile phones, such as HUAWEI Nova 3

Nodic equipment is not even found.

We cannot connect with official UART routines.（ble_app_uart）。The phone was not able to found it either.

Do we need to make some special settings when initializing the protocol stack? Or other initialization settings。

the SDK is   13.0

Has anyone ever encountered such a situation?

Are you using the nRF Connect app? I would recommend using that. See this link.

If you have a development board, you can find a Android 8 mobile phone,such as HUAWEI NOVA 3 OR honor play.

Try this situation.

Occasionally, Bluetooth devices can be found, but the probability is very little.

Unfortunately, I do not have access to these phones. I have tested with other Android 8 phones (e.g. Samsung S8 and S9), and it worked fine with them.

I'll take a chance to test the S8 S9 phone and buy a PCA10040 to test.

I'll tell you the result later .

By the way ,where can I buy A  PCA10040 board ..A real PCA10040  board. To many copies here 。

I think it's most likely an issue with the huawei phone.

So then it's only connecting that’s the issue.

I recommend buying it from one of our distributors. See this list.

With a nRF52-DK we can also use the nRF Sniffer to see what's going on-air. This could help us find the root cause of the issue, by inspecting the content and timing of the on-air packets.

Maybe it's our board problem.

There may be frequency offset.

Our crystal oscillator and capacitor may not match.

Yes, this indicates that there is a problem with the custom board. I recommend taking a look at the tutorial "General PCB design guidelines for nRF52 series", found here. Please make sure that your load capacitors for the 32 MHz crystal follows the formula in the chapter “Crystal and load capacitors”.
