No network interface to work with on nrf9160

Hello,

I followed the getting started guide but the kit can't connect. I'm getting this error:

net_if.net_if_init: There is no network interface to work with!

Is this a known bug, how can i fix it? Or is there a hardware issue?

I do have the same issues with the iBasis sim card in NL. Even after updating the modem firmware. 

Inserting my Vodafone NL sim card worked within seconds. Therefore I think something is wrong with the procedure to activate the iBasis sim card. Putting the iBasis sim card in my phone results in no network, until I selected the iBasis (KPN) APN settings. But, there is no internet connection possible. 

@Nordic, could anyone check if the activation of the sim-cards works correct?

we're will investigate if there is an issue with the supplied iBasis SIMs. I will keep you posted.

Yes, there is currently an issue with iBasis data connectivity in the Netherlands.  This is an isolated country issue that is a known issue and we are working on the problem.  Access in the Netherlands is expected to be available soon.  iBasis will keep this forum updated on the status.
