nrf_sdh_enable_request() stops with fatal error

I have an application with three other tasks beside the sdh task. I'm trying to integrate softdevice to my existing freertos application, but soon after the task scheduler starts and running nrf_sdh_enable_request() the program hangs with the line "<error> app: Fatal error" Any ideas where I should start looking for solutions...? the first thing that comes to mind is interrupt priorities, but I don't know how using a softdevice affects those... in general i have not touched the basic configuration for those levels

Actually it the problem seems to lie in when i call nrfx_rng_init() in my other task. i have no idea why it would cause a fatal error though

Have you tried to debug your program to see what is causing this "Fatal error"?

nrf_rng_shorts_disable(NRF_RNG_SHORT_VALRDY_STOP_MASK);

Are you sure about this?

In the SDK, it does not look like this API function writes any errors if something goes wrong. Did you follow the debug tutorial in the link i sent?

Well if it helps at all is that when i call nrfx_rng_init() before nrf_sdh_enable_request() the softdevice fails to load.
