Automated test using nRF Connect desktop version?

Is there any other option to run the XML script (Macro) in the nRF connect desktop version? or is there any other way to run the automated test in nRF connect desktop version?

What do you mean by worst case? If the method that is described in the guide doesn't work?

Either way it's the only alternative I can suggest.

My question is the same automation test (using XML script or Macro) can be done in the desktop version (nRF Connect) or not?

If yes, then share the procedure to do that automation test in the desktop version 

If no, then is there any other method to test it in desktop version?

I understand. Unfortunately, this is something that is not supported by nRF Connect. The alternative would be to implement it yourself using the pc-ble-driver
