does nrf52840 has ble 5. is it compatible with raspberry pi3?

i am trying to make a project based on detection using ble 5 on raspberry pi 3.

plz help me with selecting correct and most appropriate ble 5 dongle for good range and fast speed.

"has BLE 5" is almost meaningless; so many BLE 5 features are optional - which particular BLE 5 features are you looking for?

The Product Specification tells you what BLE 5 features are supported.

What, exactly, do you mean by "compatible with raspberry pi3"

The nRF52840 has a number of interfaces which are available on the RPi3 - UART, USB, SPI, I2C.

The Raspberry Pi3 has a BCM43438 wireless LAN and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)  chip:
