nrf51422 antenna matching network components

I am using the nRF51422 for BLE data. My antenna matching network is this:

However, compared to the DK I am getting lower gain (DK gives -50, my PCB gives -64). I have laid out the components on the pcb exactly as provided by the reference guide and done the same for the antenna based on the antenna's manufacturer. Thus I was wondering what is going on with this matching network and would appreciate any help.

Hi,

The reason for the decreased performance is that the matching network needs to be impedance matched and tuned for your specific custom board. You can't reuse the layout from the antenna datasheet and expect it to work optimally with the DK. Chip antennas usually requires tuning even though they are listed as 50 ohm.
