Bluetoot Low Energy 5.0 on nRF52832

Hallo Everyone

We have developed a firmware for our systems using the nRF52832 with BLE 4.0.

Now we need to move to BLE 5.0. As far as I know the nRF52832 works with BLW 5.0. Do I have do change my code to make it work, or does the nFR52 automatically switch to 5.0?

Because just about everything "BLE 5"  is optional, that is essentially meaningless!

So which specific "BLE 5" feature(s) do you require?

Note that nRF52832 does not support Coded PHY.

thank you for the reply.

We actually do not need to have any BLE 5.0 feature, but a company that produces devices that will connect to our devices, will not provide BLE 4.0 devices anymore. They will provide BLE 5.0.

Because of that, we have to move to 5.0.

If i understart correctly, we do not need to change anything in our code then.

Is it right?

BLE 5 is defined to be backwards compatible with 4.2.

Only if they are using specific 5.0 features.
