nRF Connect for Desktop v3.2.0 not working

Hello,

I am running nRF Connect for Desktop v3.2.0 on Win10 64-bit machine.  Everytime I launch an applet, such as Power Profiler, I get a new blank window and nothing happens.  This happens with all the applets:

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling but the problem persists.  Please advise.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

  • Hi Mark

First, make a note of the path to your current nRFConnect version is located in (mine is in users\...\AppData for reference).

Go to the add or remove programs section in settings and uninstall/remove the following programs if you have them on your computer (these may all have files shared between one another which is why we have to remove them all): nRF Connect 3.3.0, nRF-Command-Line-Tools, nRFgo Studio, nRFready smart remote 3, andnRF5x MDK Keil4 with Nordic License (not sure if this last one is relevant, but I have it installed on my computer, so it might be for all I know).

When these have uninstalled correctly, check the path where nRFConnect was located and make sure it is gone. Also, make sure that the nrfconnect-apps that were installed also are gone. These include ppk, programmer, gettingstarted, ble, programmer, linkmonitor, trace collector, dtm, and rssi. That should be it I believe, please try and get back to me if you're still struggling. It might be something that I missed, and if we aren't able to find it, you might have to reboot your computer entirely...

    Best regards,

    Simon
