SIM card usage grows up, but no data in cloud

Hello,

I am testing the capabilities of Thingy:91, the first day I could see data in cloud (temperature and other sensors + GPS).

Today usage of SIM card grows up but no data are displayed in cloud.

I read in different topics there is a limitation of 1MB, but SIM card usage is 0.56MB.

I didn't flash any other firmware.

In nRF Connect I can see device is connected (in cloud too !).

Does someone have the same trouble ?

  • Hi Jeremy,

Today usage of SIM card grows up but no data are displayed in cloud.

Just keeping a connection alive, with sending PINGREQ/PINGRESP, will use data. Not much, but if you keep it connected, over time it will amount to some kilobytes.

Are you using the iBasis SIM card? if so, then the limit is 10 MB.

    Kind regards,

    Håkon

  • Hi,

    First thank you for answering.

The SIM card is the iBasis provided with Thingy91.

I think the problem comes from the cloud, because today in SIM list there is nothing to display, only the following message : "No SIMs found. Click on the blue "+" button to get started."

I will remove the device and retry its registration.

I will inform you about the results.

EDIT : Before removing the device, I have cleared the cache of Chrome, and now I can see all the incoming data, registered SIM, ...

So you can close this topic.

    Thank you
