Adroid app with BLE 5 (LE coded)

Hi Nordic team support,

I want to test communication range between nRF528xx device that support LE coded with samsung galaxy s10 (support LE coded also)

1. If I configure nRF528xx device to LE coded PHY 125 kbps, Can I use nRFConnect app for communication with nRF528xx device ? or Do you have other app, please recommend ?

2. Have you ever tested bluetooth (LE coded) device with mobile phone ?, please share information

Hi

First of all, note that only the nRF52840 and nRF52811 have the hardware to support Coded PHY (Long-range BLE).

1. The nRFConnect for Android app should be able to communicate using Coded PHY as long as the phone supports it.

2. We've not done very much extensive testing here, except confirming that the nRFConnect app is able to receive and transmit Coded PHY messages when connected to an nRF52840 DK. The test was done using a One Plus 6 phone as the central, and an nRF52840 DK as a peripheral. I believe the firmware used in the DK was from out Long Range coded PHY blog post, and were used by connecting in 1M PHY first, and then switching to Coded PHY after connecting.
