Problem with Power Profiler Kit

Hello,

I've a problem with a PPK board.

When the current go over 10mA the value reported is wrong, in my case should be 15mA and PPK measure 80mA and more. Instead, in the range of microamperes the value is correct.

Tried with a differrent PPK board and it is working correctly.

The PPK is used to measure an exetrnal DUT with regulated voltage from the board, software used is nRFConnect 3.3.0 and Power Profiler application 2.3.1.

What can I do, if possible, to fix this problem? Or the board is irreparably damaged?

Many thanks in advance.

When a PPK starts showing measurements of more than 80mA that generally indicates that it is damaged due to a shorted or broken circuit. This can happen due to ESD, exposing it to too high voltage, etc.

You can check the board if there are any missing components or visible marks that a the circuit is broken or shorted. If you are not able to find that I don't think you'll be able to fix this as it is likely one or more of the components on the board that is damaged.
