nrfprog does not read the mac correctly

Hi,

When I used the same command, I was only able to read the 5 bytes correctly. The Most higher byte does not match.

C:\Program Files\Nordic Semiconductor\nrf-command-line-tools\bin>nrfjprog --memrd 0x100000A4 --n 8
0x100000A4: 121DCF55 7C1D8BD6 |U......||

From Nrfconnect, I noticed a different mac address.

Am I missing anything?

Of the total 48 bits of the bluetooth address, the upper 2 bits are set to show the address type, which in this case is '11', random static address type. The remainder of the bits are directly derived from FICR: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/2112/how-to-get-6-byte-mac-address-at-nrf51822

Taking the byte in FICR and ORing it, it becomes the address byte you also see in nRF connect:

0x8B | 0xC0 = 0xCB
