nrf9160DK: "Error : AT command timeout" on LTE monitor while using the "AT_client" sample

Hi.

I want to test my iBasis SIM card for NB-IoT with nRF9160DK. So, I tested with the "AT_client" example. I have followed "Getting Start with nRF8160 DK" instruction and I was be able to build and flash without an error.

nRF Connect version => 3.3.2
Modem firmware version => 1.1.1
myboard : PCA10090

But, It has some problem. I'm still not be able to get any response from the board with AT command.

When I watched this video "LTE Link Monitor introduction" which it also used AT client firmware too. I noticed that I got no message on LTE monitor about zephyr OS booting after pressed the reset button like in the video as shown here...

Could you please help me solve this problem?

  • Hi!

    If you're not seeing the Zephyr boot message after hitting the reset button, try flashing the modem FW and the application again.

    Are you sure you used the correct file when flashing the application? If you're downloading the firmware from our website, make sure to use the files in the directory called "images_full"

    Best regards,

    Heidi
