nRF SKD update got stacked

Hi

Past week (on a Windows 10 pc) I've installed the nrf connect sdk (nrfconnectsetup331ia32), and yesterday offered me an update (nrfconnectsetup340ia32); since I've not done as many progresses as to get to used, I dediced to proceed with the suggestion. The point is that during the update progress a couple of errors appeared, and asked e if I wanted to cancel, retry or ommit. I've chocen ommit since I thought It was related with the fact that the nrf connect was open. Bad idea. Now I haven't any of them working, and If I try to install the new version it gets stacked as you see in the picture:

I can not remove any nordic programm (since they're not in the add/remove programs pannel). How should I proceed?

Thanks!

Esteban

  • Amanda: sorry for the delay in the test. I've just installed the 3.4.1 on a spare computer without any problem (and with less free space). I'm almost sure it isn't a free disk space related problem, it has about 100Gb free. If it is usefull, when trying to install on the "problematic" pc, it doesn't even launches the visual studio windiow. Remember the illness condition of being under an update and a couple of ommit messages.

    Thanks.

What do you mean the "visual studio windiow" here? The installation will not launch any tool IDE.

     What are the "ommit messages"?

  • Well, when installing from scratch in the spare pc (say PC1), it launched for short a visual studio sdk or something like that.

Regarding the "omit messages", when upgrading from 3.3 to 3.4 in the development machine (say PC0), the installer prompted that couldn't remove a file or something like that, and offered to cancel/abort or omit.I (badly) chose "omit". Since then, I couldn't go further from the evolution bar that I posted in the first message.

This is the mother of the problem I said in the first message.

I'm tempted to think it's a registry key related problem, but that's just newbie intuition.

    Thanks again!

  • Hi Esteban,

Thanks for the feedback. I will report to the internal. As now, please use the spare pc (say PC1). Sorry for the inconvenience.
