Coded Phy Settings

Hi Nordic team,

we want to connect 2 nRF52840 based modules with Coded Phy S=8 Mode to make an cable replacement (NUS).

MTU Size is 244 Byte ,to transmit cyclic 200 Byte from A to B abnd B to A.

Normally we work with 2M Phy and 7.5ms connection intervall and it works perfect and also very stable, even with multipoint.

Since the HF rate is lower (125kB instead of 2M) we assume that the connection intervall has to be adjusted.

Is there a recommendation or info manual?

No, you can have 7.5ms connection interval for Coded PHY also, but you are limited to 27 bytes LL PDU size. You can test the ble_app_att_mtu_throughput example in the nRF5 SDK to test the throughput.

 If you want to transfer all the data within one connection event/interval, it seems like you need to use 36.25ms connection interval, based on my testing with the online power profiler, with Connection Event Length Extension enabled.
